2.040 SPORTSMANSHIP OF SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVES
2.041 Students, school staff, boards of education, spectators and all other persons connected directly or indirectly with a member school shall practice and promote the highest principles of sportsmanship and the ethics of competition in all interscholastic relationships. The Executive Director shall have authority to investigate allegations and incidents of unsportsmanlike conduct or conduct which adversely affects the ethics of competition in connection with interscholastic contests.
The Executive Director shall also have full authority to invoke penalties, in the context of the provisions of Division 6.000 of these By-laws, against a member school and/or individuals whose conduct in connection with an interscholastic contest violates these principles or ethics.
2.042 Member schools shall maintain proper crowd control and enforce the principles of good sportsmanship and ethics for all interscholastic activities. The Executive Director shall have authority to investigate reported incidents of unsportsmanlike conduct or conduct which adversely affects the ethics of competition in connection with interscholastic contests and shall have full authority to invoke penalties, in the context of Division 6.000 of these By-laws, against a member school which fails to fulfill its obligations as provided in this section.

(105 ILCS 5/24-24) (from Ch. 122, par. 24-24)
The board may make and enforce reasonable rules of conduct and sportsmanship for athletic and extracurricular school events. Any person who violates such rules may be denied admission to school events for not more than one year, provided that written 10 days notice of the violation is given such person and a hearing had thereon by the board pursuant to its rules and regulations. The administration of any school may sign complaints as agents of the school against persons committing any offense at school events.

-Meet academic eligibility standards set down by the Illinois High School Association - (IHSA), or set down by Moline High School.
Academic achievement and extra-curricular activities are considered key elements in developing well rounded students and balanced educational programs. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that enable them to experience social, athletic, and academic growth. Academic achievement is significantly important and must be considered the primary function of the school's educational responsibility to the community and all students and participation in extra-curricular activities must be considered a privilege. Students will be held to critical academic standards to be eligible to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Students interested in participating in any extra-curricular activity must meet all applicable IHSA rules and regulations. In addition to IHSA requirements, all activity participants must achieve a 2.0 or above (on a 4.0 system) each grading period in order to maintain full unrestricted eligibility.
A student not achieving a 2.0 or above for any grading period will be placed on academic probation for the next grading period (nine weeks) and will be required to fulfill the following:
1. Attend and participate in a formal study table 4 of the 5 days that it meets each week;
2. No unexcused absence from classes: and
3. Complete and hand in homework as assigned by classroom teachers.
Those students not meeting this requirement shall be ineligible for the next (7) days, beginning with the following Monday.
